I created Untethered for my "Loss of Identity" themed IB Art Exhibition.
This self portrait is based on a family photo of me before I had any concept of my own national identity. This was something that I experienced not just because of my young age, but because of how often I moved from place to place. I had little connection to the countries of my parents, instead of feeling a deeper connection to the countries that I lived in.
