I created Displacement for my "Loss of Identity" themed IB Art Exhibition.
War causes unimaginable destruction and loss. With this piece, I focus specifically on the displacement of refugees from their homeland. The piece was made in February of 2022, and it is inspired by images surfacing from Ukraine of war-damaged residential buildings. In any war, people are forced to flee their homes, abandon their previous lives, and leave behind their pre-war identities.
